On September 12, 2014 Alameda Municipal Power, Park Street Business Association, and Rhythmix Cultural Works presented 10 utility boxes with artwork designed by local artists. The contest was presented months earlier as a call to local artists to create a design that would " reflect ways in which the community can reduce its carbon footprint through renewable power sources, cleaner transportation, recycling and reuse, shopping local, supporting farmers’ markets, or water and energy conservation.-Alameda Sun"
Over 100 artists submitted designs.....and I was one of them. I was, and still am, absolutely honored to be chosen amongst 9 other exceptional artists. For the next 10 years my artwork will grace the corner of
Santa Clara Ave and Everett Street in Alameda, Ca.
